What better way to start the mid term break with an evening out with like minded women before the madness enfolds of ghosts and goblins! we’ve listened to the feedback from everyone who can’t make our morning events but want to be part of our growing tribe and look forward to hopefully meeting you all too!
Mum Talks is all about connecting people and this is going to be another great opportunity to meet like-minded women. You will be welcomed on the evening with a large glass of wine and there will also be plenty of nibbles to keep you going for the night!
Just like our morning events (but with wine and without babies!) we have a great line up speakers who are going to share their stories with us!
We are delighted to welcome these three increidble business women on our panel on Thursday 24th October in the gorgeous surroundings of the Iveagh Garden Hotel.
Deirdre Waldron – CEO of TBWADublin
Deirdre formally trained as a software engineer, Deirdre’s career took a few detours
into the dotcom bubble and financial services sector, in San Francisco and Boston, before settling into advertising in Dublin. She took up the position of Managing Director of Agency.com in 2010 where she helped clients genuinely grow their brand through digital channels.
In 2011, Deirdre became Managing Director of TBWADublin, and although her head has been turned by TV ads, her heart still remains in technology. Her passion for creativity is what keeps her coming to work each day. That and the brilliant team with whom she works and is inspired by on a daily basis.
In 2015, Deirdre became CEO of the TBWADubin group and now manages the group’s entire offering growing it into one of Ireland most effective advertising agencies. With a staff of over 70 talented creators, the group continues to go from strength to strength not just in the Irish market place, but internationally also.
In a career that has spanned over two and half decades, Deirdre’s exceptional understanding of the communications process, coupled with her technical ability, has seen her manage award winning campaigns across all major categories and brands, including Jameson Irish Whiskey, SuperValu, Centra,Strongroots, BMW, Mini, McDonald’s, Audi, ESB, Electric Ireland, HSE, Bank of Ireland and to name but a few.
Dawn Hill – Founder Floraison Skin Clinic
Dawn’s decade-long career in skincare began after she graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering. Following some years working in clinical research managing major trials in the UK and Ireland, her passion for writing about skincare led her to become a beauty journalist for some of the biggest publications in the country.
After working in beauty PR and in business development, Dawn then decided to take her love of skin further and trained at the prestigious Bronwyn Conroy Beauty College in Dublin.
Dawn has worked for some of the most well-known names in Irish skincare, including the renowned Drs Mulrooney at their clinic in Ballsbridge, as well as Dr Peter Prendergast of Venus Medical in Dublin. She was also brand manager and educator for some of the biggest international beauty brands in Ireland while working for United Drug.
Floraison was started in late 2018 to much fanfare and Dawn is one of very few facialists in the country entrusted to stock the renowned Biologique Recherche line. She is passionate about both treating and educating her clients about their skin to help them achieve long term results.
Claire Tolan, Managing Director, Ireland, Irish Distillers
Claire took up her role as Managing Director Ireland last July. She is responsible for the sales and marketing of the full Pernod Ricard portfolio of premium wines and spirits across the island of Ireland and serves on the Irish Distillers Leadership Team.
Having most recently served as Managing Director Brand Homes at Irish Distillers, Claire oversaw the €11 million redevelopment of Jameson Distillery Bow Street. The new-look Jameson brand home has fast become the most visited whiskey experience in the world with visitor numbers topping more than 350,000 in the first year since it reopened in March 2017.
A graduate of International Marketing and languages in Dublin City University, Claire started her career through the Jameson Graduate programme in 1998 and spent five years in San Francisco working for Pernod Ricard USA. She then moved back to Dublin and re-joined Irish Distillers in the International Brand Development team managing relationships with markets across the Americas and Europe. She was then appointed Brand Director for Jameson in the International Marketing team.
Claire has three boys Sam (10), Joey (7) and Albi (5) and a Swiss husband called Swiss Chris.
